After you have create a lesson, you may want to align it to US state standards or an international curriculum.

You can do this using the following steps:

Click on Lesson Planning > Lessons in the navigation bar on the left.

  2. Open the lesson
Find the lesson in the list of lessons shown, and click on its name to open it.

  3. Click on "Standards" box

Note that Standards is the term used in the United States. If you're outside the US, this box may be called "Curriculum expectations" or similar based on your location.

Once you click on this box, you will see a button called "Add standards"

  4. Click on "Add standards"
This will open a dialog where you can select standards from Almanack or add your own.

  5. Option 1: select standards from Almanack

    1. Select a standards set
Type in the name of the standard set and select it. You can use the name of your state, province, or country, or the name of the standards set or international curriculum.

    2. Select a course
The second box after you select the first one will help you pick the course and grade level for the standards you want to include.

    3. Select individual standards
Check the box against each standard that you want to include in this lesson. Whatever you select will be shown on the right. You can use the "X" button in the list on the right to remove items from it.

    4. Click on "Save"

Once you click on the "Save" button, the standards that were shown on the right will be included in standards box in the lesson.

  6. Option 2: add your own standards

    1. Switch the standards selector to "Add your own"
Moving this switch will open up a text box

    2. Copy/paste your standards into the box

    3. Review the added standards

    4. Click on "Save"

Once you click on the "Save" button, the standards that were shown on the right will be included in standards box in the lesson.
