How to Add Curriculum Expectations to a lesson

To Add Curriculum Expectations to a lesson, follow the below steps:

  1. Expand the Lesson Planning on the left side menu & click on the Lessons tab

  2. Click on the Lesson Name that you wish to edit

    Clicking the lesson name will open the lesson.

  3. The Lesson will be opened. Click on the “+” icon next to the Curriculum Expectations section.

4. The “Add Curriculum Expectations” button is displayed. Click on it.

5. The app shows a pop up with the below two options to select Strands and Expectations:

1. Select from Almanack

2. Add your own

6. The option “Select from Almanack”, is selected by default, follow the below steps to select Strands and Expectations:

6.1. Select a strand from the drop down list “STATE STANDARDS/CURRICULUM” & also select a “Course/Language” from the drop down list "Standards Set/Course"

6.2. Select “Curriculum Expectations” by ticking the checkbox on the Expectations or search for an expectation using the filter field

6.3. After selecting the expectations, check the selected expectations are displayed on the right side.

6.4. Click on the Save button, after selecting all the Standards. The selected Strands are displayed in the Curriculum Expectations section of the lesson

7. How to Add your own Strands and Expectations using “Add your own” option

7.1. To Add your own strand, click on the “Add your own” button

7.2. Enter the Standards and Expectations in the “Add your own” Text box & check the Expectations entered are displayed on the right side under the section “Entered by you

7.3. Click on the “Save” button. The Expectations entered by the user are displayed in the Curriculum Expectations section of the lesson
